Caring For Life is a Christian organisation founded on the principle of servant-hearted ministry. The Chef will prepare and present high-quality food at The Granary Restaurant while actively contributing to the organisation’s Christian mission. The role combines professional culinary standards with compassionate service. The post holder will help create a welcoming environment where Christ’s love is demonstrated in attitude, conduct, and conversation. Key responsibilities include preparing hot and cold dishes in line with recipes, allergen guidance, and food safety standards; maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and storage areas; ensuring correct stock rotation and date control, particularly for high-risk items; assisting with daily specials and functions; and supporting the development of menu items, including the promotion of Caring For Life produce. Required training in food hygiene, health and safety, and related areas must be undertaken. The role also involves pastoral sensitivity, especially towards elderly and disabled customers, offering warmth, encouragement, and practical care. Participation in staff prayer, sharing personal testimony when appropriate, and occasionally representing the Charity to Christian groups form part of the post. Reporting to the Head Chef, the post holder must uphold high professional and commercial standards, as The Granary operates to generate funds for the charity. Saturday rota work is essential. We are seeking someone with strong administrative skills to work in our busy Human Resources environment to support our Personnel Office. We are seeking a relational, strategic and ambitious Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to lead and grow our Major and Mid-level Donor programme, Corporate Partnerships and church fundraising at a pivotal moment for Safe Families and Home for Good. As we continue to maximise the potential of our merger into one charity, this role will play a critical part in enabling long-term, sustainable income growth to support children and families across the UK. Reporting to the Director of Communications, Fundraising and Advocacy, the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will work closely with the Co-CEO to set and deliver a compelling strategy for high-value giving. This includes leading a portfolio of major donors personally, driving income against ambitious targets, and developing the charity’s capability and culture in major donor fundraising, corporate partnerships, and international philanthropy, including pioneering and growing our work with US funders. As a senior leader within the Fundraising Team and a member of the organisation’s Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely alongside the Head of Fundraising to shape the wider fundraising strategy, ensure alignment across income streams, and model best practice in relationship-led fundraising. You will lead and develop a team, currently including a Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Assistant, fostering a high-performing, relational, and values-driven approach. This is a hybrid role, with regular travel required for donor meetings, events, and internal collaboration. You would work as part of the Central team which includes Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham and Lincolnshire. The Referrals Coordinator role is an essential component of the team which sets the foundation for transformational family support through the wider team of dedicated staff and volunteers. It is an ideal role from which to explore and learn about working in the health and social care sector whilst belonging to a highly supportive team of other professionals. We are looking for someone who is a real people person who can communicate effectively and in line with Safe Families and Home for Good values, whilst also being very organised able to follow clear processes.
